This Mesa worship campus needed two shade jobs solved at once: a covered drop-off at the entry and shade over the courtyard where people gather between services. We answered with a steel flat-cantilever cover over the entry and drop-off lane, plus ramada-style shade across the courtyard gathering area.
The cantilever was the right call for the drive lane. A cantilever carries its load on a single row of columns set off to one side, so the posts sit clear of the vehicle path — no center columns for cars to dodge in the drop-off loop. That keeps the full width open for two lanes of cars and a walking path while the fabric overhead shades the curb where families load and unload. For the courtyard, the ramada behaves more like a pavilion than a sail: posts on all sides, a continuous flat or low-pitch roof, and shade that holds over the benches and pavement people stand on while they talk.
